“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin.
His words effectively resonate whenever I talk about education and entertainment. And KidZania is a perfect example for it. Gone are days where we had the lecture method of teaching, children these days have become curious and the methods of teaching innovative. The concept of KidZania is all about “role-play”, which does not only enhances positive learning but also helps develop core skills like social, emotional, psychological and cognitive.
I had an opportunity of a date with my daughter at this amazing place on the eve of friendship day and what a playful date it was. Though she is small for all the activities at this edutainment centre, but we had a blast at the play group setup that they have. We read books, played in the ball pool, did some abacus learning (which was only show off) and made some friends.
This educational theme park has lots of activities to offer for various age groups. Ranging from toddler activities to kids and even adults can indulge in a fun learning experience. Spread over an area of more than a lakh sq feet, it is a children’s paradise with a duplication of a real city into a dummy one. It’s an arena where your children unleashes it’s creativity and the flights of imagination just takes off.
The place is full of hands on activities where children can become a doctor, pilot, police officer, delivery personnel, archeologist, choreographer, fashion designer, you name it they have it. These kids learn to earn and spend kidzos, the special currency that runs the economy of KidZania. This give them a sense of financial experience and how they need to manage it on their own.
Even a day would fall short for our little explorers to rave through the pavements of this scintillating place. Being a teacher professionally I strongly recommend this place for kids. They will only learn through all play and with them without knowing the are learning. So for you it’s a win win situation.
